This Zen dialogue surprised me the first time I heard it. Dongguozi asks where the Tao is, and Zhuangzi answers by pointing to ordinary and even unwanted things, showing that it is everywhere. The answers grow so unexpected that words finally fall silent. Sitting with this story, I began to notice how often I decide which moments feel meaningful and which ones I overlook. Zhuangzi gently points back to what is already present in the ordinary.
